Cute graphics and good prayers help me teach my son how to pray

What I love about this is that I can use it to teach my child to pray. Each spread in the book features a prayer for a specific thing. And it helps me teach my child that prayer isn't just for food or sleeping or for family. Kids can learn that you can also pray for your friends, for school, for animals -- and that it can be about a lot of things like protection, forgiveness, blessing, help, and more! Plus it helps that the graphics are so cute!

Great Prayer Book

I have found that children's prayer books can be excellent resources for teaching children about prayer. The Precious Moments Little Book of Prayers from Tommy Nelson is one such resource. Full of prayers that are just right for children, from prayers about animals to forgiveness, the Little Book of Prayers has some great examples and ideas. We use the prayers in this book as prompts. We read a prayer, and then I encourage my oldest to think of other things to pray for that relate to that prayer. I try to help her understand that we can talk to Yeshua (Jesus) about anything, from itchy mosquito bites to her desire for a puppy.

I like that the Little Book of Prayers is a sturdy board book that my youngest can enjoy too. The prayers are presented through simple rhymes, making them easy to remember. The classic Precious Moments illustrations remind me of my own childhood memories, which makes the book all the more of a treasure. From morning until evening your precious ones will fall in love with this Little Book of Prayers.

Teach Children to Trust in God (Who Is All~Ways in Control) Through Specific Prayers Designed for Daily Interactions

This Little Book of Prayers is an excellent board book for infants to toddlers. The Precious Moments illustrations complement the 18 different prayers offered for little ones to grow in their understanding of God, specific prayer, interacting well with others, and offering daily blessings. The illustrations feature multicultural children in a variety of settings including: God Knows Me (based on Psalm 139) with children at a birthday party; Lord, Keep Me Safe (Psalm 36:7) with 3 toddlers in a barrel sail boat; and A Prayer for the Animals (Job 12:10) which reflects tenderness as children discover the joy and responsibility of caring for the unique creatures they are discovering.
Your precious individual will love turning the pages herself/himself and learning to talk to their Heavenly Father about many of life's situations. Children can learn these prayers through repetition or hand motions as they commit them to memory and treasure them in their hearts. Prayer is a language which calms the heart and helps children to learn that while our world may not be perfect, they can talk personally and specifically to Our Creator about anything they face.

This is a great book as an introduction to hapi.js. A little on the thin side, and one needs to supplement this with all the online material available.

A very efficient way to get a great, clear understanding of hapi.js

I bought the paper and kindle versions of "Getting started with hapi.js" about six weeks ago. I had worked with various Node.js projects for a few years before this. Most of them used Express and I had only briefly looked at hapi. Hearing about the high quality standards of the hapi project and the clear, opinionated approach let me to look deeper so I started with this book.

The best thing about this book is the clear, concise style and well thought out structure. It doesn't seem to have any agenda other than clearly explaining the subject matter and doesn't it go overboard with long-winded text. It's both accessible to a newcomer and useful for anyone with more experience. For me, I was able to digest it quickly, get what I needed and start putting it into practice right away. Some tech books require a heavy time investment by the reader but this one seems to understand that the reader's time is precious. I got a positive impression of the hapi ecosystem and good foundations to get up and running. It took a short amount of time to work through the examples but they all worked well and helped to make what I was learning stick.

If you're interested in getting into Node development for the first time or already use Node and need to get a quick but solid overview of hapi, you won't regret choosing this book. You'll finish up with a solid understanding of the hapi project, routing, plugins, testing, authentication and joi validation. There are also some handy tips on production deployment and debugging.
